LinkedIn text formatter
Format a LinkedIn post before you paste it. Bold, italic, underline, and strikethrough become Unicode glyphs, which is how Threadly's LinkedIn studio styles text that the LinkedIn composer itself will not bold.
Example: 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐝 · 𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑐 · u̲n̲d̲e̲r̲l̲i̲n̲e̲ · s̶t̶r̶i̶k̶e̶.
This page does not invent hooks, add hashtags, or post to LinkedIn. It counts to 3,000 characters, the post cap in the studio. Open the studio when you want templates, saved drafts, article mode, or the AI assistant.

Select words first to style only that range. With nothing selected, the style applies to the whole box. Formatting stays in your browser.
How to use it
- 01
Paste the post
Use the draft you actually plan to publish. Short paragraphs are easier to scan once the glyphs are in place.
- 02
Apply the styles LinkedIn will show
Select a phrase, then choose bold, italic, underline, or strikethrough. Bullets prefix each line with •, the same glyph the LinkedIn studio uses for lists.
- 03
Check the 3,000-character counter
The counter matches the post limit in Threadly's LinkedIn studio. It counts Unicode code points, so a bold letter still counts as one character.
- 04
Copy and paste into LinkedIn
Paste into the LinkedIn composer. If you want AI to tighten the hook or an article-length draft, open the LinkedIn studio instead of staying on this page.
Questions
Why format LinkedIn text with Unicode?
The LinkedIn composer does not give every account a bold button. Threadly's LinkedIn studio and this formatter turn bold, italic, underline, and strikethrough into Unicode glyphs that display in the feed after you paste them.
What is the character limit?
This page counts to 3,000 characters, which is the post limit in Threadly's LinkedIn studio. The studio also has an article mode counted separately, up to 110,000 characters. This formatter is for a standard post.
Does this page send my draft to an AI?
No. Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and bullets on this page stay in your browser. Auto-format and Enhance with AI live in the LinkedIn studio. Those actions send the text you submit to OpenRouter.
Will hashtags or a hook be added for me?
Not here. Type the hook, line breaks, and hashtags yourself. The LinkedIn studio's Enhance action can rewrite a draft, including a hook and hashtags, when you ask it to.
Is it free?
Yes. There is no account and no paid tier. Copy the result and paste it into LinkedIn. Threadly does not post it for you.
Want AI, templates, or a long article?
LinkedIn Studio keeps drafts in your browser, includes post and article modes, and can enhance or auto-format a draft with the free OpenRouter assistant. Unicode styles there use this same engine. You still copy the result into LinkedIn yourself.
